One tree planted is a reforestation organization planting trees on 5 continents. They plant local tree species, grown in nearby nurseries and planted when conditions are optimal for tree survival. Since 2014, they have planted over 40 million trees across the globe and more than doubled the number of trees planted each year. They are working with partners across 47+ countries in North America, Latin America, Africa, Asia, Europe and the Pacific.

Trees clean our air by absorbing harmful pollutants, filter our water and prevent land slides, strenghten our biodiversity by providing habitat for million of species of animals and plants, improve our health, create jobs and protect our climate by capturing CO2 from the atmosphere. 

For every dollar donated, they plant one tree. The young trees are then maintained and monitored as they grow.

One Tree Planted impact ranges from a simple act of planting tree growth complex, to long lasting benefits ranging from the restoration of ecosystems that have  been ravaged by wildfires (and would not be able to regenerate on their own), to the stabilization of riparian areas and protection of watersheds that provide drinking water for millions.
